SeaShield Series 2000FD^®   (Heavy Duty) provides ultra long-term protection for steel, concrete and timber structures in the splash and intertidal zones.

The Series 2000FD^® heavy duty system seals out oxygen and water effectively, stopping corrosion on steel surfaces. The system also prevents spalling and corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete piles.

The SeaShield Series 2000FD^® system can be used on offshore platforms legs, risers, wharf piles and exposed piping in the splash and tidal zones.

The system can accommodate piles with cylindrical and hexagonal sections as well as support members and bracings. Other SeaShield Systems with different specifications and use are also available. Information available on request.

The SeaShield Series 2000FD Heavy Duty System provides a cost effective and easily applied method for the control of corrosion in the splash and intertidal zones on jetty piling.

Materials

The SeaShield Series 2000FD^® System stops corrosion by using special water repelled paste and petrolatum-based tape. The SeaShield Marine Piling or Densyl Tape forms an anti-corrosion membrane by displacing water and forming a moisture-resistant bond. A tough HDPE jacket surrounds this component to protect against weathering and mechanical damage.
 

Denso Paste S105 (Tropical Grade)

Underwater primer used also in severely pitted or corroded areas within the substrate as needed. It fills imperfections and passivates surface oxides.

Denso Marine Piling Tape or Densyl Tape

Synthetic fiber –reinforced tape impregnated and coated with a specially formulated  petrolatum-based compound containing inert filters, water displacing agents, and wide spectrum biocides. The tape provides a long lasting, anti-corrosion membrane for steel and concrete surfaces. Applied spirally, and with sufficient tension, Denso Tapes displace water and develop a water resistant bond. It provides the primary corrosion protection in the SeaShield system.

SeaShield HDPE Jacket

A tough, ultraviolet-resistant HDPE jacket against the elements and accidental impact. The size and thickness of the jacket are to meet  environmentally application requirements. The SeaShield jacket is secured with stainless steel bolts and nuts. The Denso Jacket has special chemical formulation to prevent any UV influence even in harsh tropical conditions.
 

Installation 

PT Imbema Pacific Indonesia has a wide experience in the installation of all Denso SeaShield Systems. Experienced teams of qualified divers assist in cleaning of the piles and installation of the systems. If clients prefer to install the system themselves supervisors can assist. Perfect installation warrants the lifetime of SeaShield.

Preventive Maintenance

SeaShield Jetty Systems must be inspected every six months on mechanical damage by debris or third parties. If damage is observed repair has to take place in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. (Examples of preventive maintenance jetty piles SeaShield Series)
